Complex Axonometrics

Images + quotes

Images from last week (and YAY UTed works .. but Fraps doesn't.. ):

"One very significant aspect of chimpanzee behaviour lies in the close similarity of many of their communicatory gestures and postures to those of man himself." + "We are just an advanced breed of monkeys on a minor planet of a very average star. But we can understand the Universe. That makes us something very special.” =
We are just chimpanzees on a minor planet of a very average star. But we can understand the Universe. Our communicatory gestures and postures share close similarities to those of man himself. That significant aspect makes us something very special.

Critical Error

... I've developed my exonometrics and I need to open it to take pictures ... but it won't open ! It keeps saying:

Build UT2004_Build_[2005-11-23_16.22]

... I've tried like six times ... and still trying ...

Quotes

Jane Goodall: "To Hugo and me, and indeed to many scientists interested in human behaviour and evolution, one very significant aspect of chimpanzee behaviour lies in the close similarity of many of their communicatory gestures and postures to those of man himself. Not only are the actual positions and movements similar to our own, but also the contexts in which they often occur." 1. Jane van Lawick Goodall, In the Shadow of Man (London: William Collins Sons & Co. Ltd Glasgow, 1971), 219.

Florence Nightingale: "Within a week of her arrival at the Institution Miss Nightingale challenged the governing bodies with her decision to admit Catholics and even Jews." 2. F. B Smith, Florence Nightingale (Manuka: Croom Helm Ltd, 1983), 11.

Steven Hawking: “We are just an advanced breed of monkeys on a minor planet of a very average star. But we can understand the Universe. That makes us something very special.” 3. ThinkExist.com Quotations, "Steven Hawking Quotations," http://thinkexist.com/quotes/stephen_hawking/
NB: Goodall and Hawking may have more in common than expected ..

Developing Sketchup Model

Ricky Swallow: 'Apple' is made of pigmented resin and measuring 9.5 x 7.5 7.5 cm. Resin is made with a mixture of acrylic casting material and catalyst. A mould is made to the shape of the apple. Good ventilation is needed as the mixture can be harmful.

Sidney Nolan: 'Flowers 1985' is spray enamel on canvas measuring 183 x 160.2 cm. This requires a large area for spray enamelling to take place with good ventilation. Space is also needed to dry the enamel in order for it to harden. It is a large piece of work and probably needs an easel.
